Connex Communications Inc. ("Connex", "we", "us") designs, installs and supports security, automation, networking and low voltage systems. This policy applies to this website and to the enquiries we receive through it, by phone, by WhatsApp and by email.

It does not cover other companies' websites we link to, including Annex Monitoring, which operates independently and publishes its own privacy policy.

The quote form on this site asks for the following, and we only ever receive what you choose to type into it:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• The service you are interested in and the type of property
• The location of the project
• Anything you write in the message field

If you call, text, WhatsApp or email us instead, we receive whatever that method of contact passes on, which normally means your phone number or email address along with the content of your message.

Please do not send us sensitive information through the website form. If a project needs details such as alarm codes, floor plans or site access arrangements, we will arrange a more appropriate way to exchange them.

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. We do not build a profile of you, we do not follow you across other websites, and we do not sell or rent anyone's information.

Two things do happen automatically, and you should know about them:

• Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which typically record the IP address, browser type and pages requested for each visit. These are used to keep the site running and secure.
• The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google when the page opens and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.

If we ever add analytics or any other tracking to this site, we will update this policy before doing so.

We use what you send us to:

• Respond to your enquiry and answer your questions
• Prepare a quote, proposal or system design for your property
• Carry out and support work you have asked us to do
• Keep records of the systems we have installed, so we can service them later
• Meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations

We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to keep you informed. If we ever do send you something you did not ask for, tell us and we will stop.

We share personal information only where it is necessary to run the business, and only with parties who are required to protect it:

• Our form delivery service. Submissions from the quote form pass through FormSubmit, which delivers them to our inbox. It handles them under its own privacy terms and does not use them for any other purpose.
• Our hosting provider, which stores and serves this website.
• Suppliers and subcontractors working on your project, where they need your address or contact details to do the work.
• Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it or where we need to establish or defend a legal claim.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to two years, so that we can pick the conversation back up if you return to us, and are deleted after that.

Records relating to work we have actually carried out are kept for as long as we support the system, and afterwards for as long as our tax, warranty and insurance obligations require. Keeping them is what allows us to service, extend or troubleshoot an installation years after it went in.

This site is served over an encrypted connection, and form submissions travel over that same encrypted connection. Access to enquiry records inside the company is limited to the people who need them to do their job.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach ever affects your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
• Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
• Stop contacting you

Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights, including the right to know what categories of information we collect, the right to request deletion and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We apply the same process to every request regardless of where you live.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before we act, and we will respond within the time the law allows.

This website is intended for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

This site links to other websites, including Annex Monitoring and WhatsApp. Following a link takes you outside our control, and we are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of those sites. Read their policies before giving them information.

We may update this policy as our services or our legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page tells you when it was last revised, and the current version always sits at this address. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
